My daughter was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called Prader-Willi Syndrome which in a nutshell, (but please feel free to google for more information) will cause a chronic feeling of hunger that, coupled with a metabolism that utilizes drastically fewer calories than normal, can lead to excessive eating and life-threatening obesity. The food compulsion makes for constant supervision necessary.
She is an amazing, bright, strong little girl. She has shown me what life is and how to be a more loving, patient parent. She shines and has a sparkle that lights up a room.
We hope and pray a cure will be found and that she can live an even better life without feeling hungry.
We are “Hungry for a Cure” and won’t stop fighting until we have one!
